There is an ongoing debate about whether AI is “good” or “bad.” In this session, SankerIP will focus on the more narrow question of whether AI is good or bad for innovation.

In this context, the answer depends on both the regulatory and intellectual property frameworks. For example, President Biden issued an “Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence.” And the European Union issued Regulation 2024/1689, known as the “EU AI Act.” SankerIP’s founder David Sanker will address how these developments for AI affect innovation.
